CS2 Headshot Stats: A 2026 Prop Reader

CS2 headshot stats count the kills a player finishes with a shot to the head. Headshot props turn that count into a bet: map 1 headshots over or under a line set by the book. Reading those lines comes down to role, matchup, and how much sample you actually have.

What is a CS2 headshot prop?

A CS2 headshot prop asks one question: how many kills will this player finish with a headshot on map 1? Books post an over/under, usually between 4.5 and 12.5, and price both sides.

  • It settles on map 1 only, so the sample stays small.
  • It counts headshots, not kills. A 20-kill map with 6 headshots scores 6.
  • It includes pistol rounds, eco rounds, and full buys.

The line follows the player’s role. An AWPer who banks body-shot kills will sit lower than a rifler who lives in entry duels. Books price that in. It is why one slate can show a 4.5 line sitting next to a 10.5.

What CS2 headshot stats actually measure

Most stat sites report headshot percentage as headshots divided by kills, not by bullets fired. A player with 20 kills and 11 headshots shows 55%. That number says a lot about crosshair placement and weapon choice. It says very little about how many headshots he lands on the next map.

Three things push a map 1 headshot count around:

  • Weapon choice. An AWP body shot still kills. It counts as a kill, not a headshot.
  • Role. Entry players take more opening duels. Anchors play retakes in tighter spaces. Different duels, different shots.
  • Opponent. A team that saves often gives up fewer full-buy duels, which dries up the headshot chances.

The prop line is a role and matchup estimate, not a measure of aim. Why the same stat gets a 4.5 line and a 10.5 line

The price is where they split. afro at +100 and yiksrezo at -139 both cleared 6 of 10 maps. One pays even money. The other returns about 72 cents on the dollar.

Two of those rows come from the same map. lugseN sits at 4.5 headshots for PCIFIC while yiksrezo carries 10.5 for ex-RUSTEC. Same map, same rounds, and a six-headshot gap between the lines. Books expect those two players to see very different fights.

Role drives most of that gap. A player on AWP duty can clear a low line without piling up headshots. A rifler in the entry slot can post 8 or 10 in a normal week.

How do you read a CS2 headshot prop?

Check the sample, then the price, then what could change the number. In that order.

  • Sample size. A 10-map hit rate is thin. One map swings it by 10 points, so 6/10 and 7/10 read about the same.
  • Both sides. Compare the over and under prices. The side the book charges more for hints at where its number sits.

  • Break-even math. Convert the price before you commit. A -139 line needs roughly 58% to break even. +100 needs 50%.
